Comfort in all the right places
Mimo’s sculpted curves provide the perfect Goldilocks sit: not too soft, not too firm. The shape and the tension are all carefully calibrated to provide support where you need it and softness where it matters. As Keiji puts it: “Comfort, to me, means you can throw yourself into it and trust it to catch you. Like a trust fall.”
Designed by Keiji Takeuchi
Keiji Takeuchi is a furniture designer from Japan, now based in Milan. Whether creating a coffee grinder, sofa system or a walking stick, he prioritises simplicity, function and feeling. “I always ask, what makes people’s lives more practical and what makes practicality more beautiful?”
Material world
Mimo is a blank canvas for your creativity. Specify it in soft fabrics and its residential character comes to the fore; choose leather and it conveys status and prestige. Colour the legs bold or stay demure; elevate with an integrated oak or marble table. Configurable modularity means the only limit to scale and form is your imagination – and that’s no limit at all.
It also uses solid Bio-Pur® foam which uses fewer fossil fuels than conventional foam without compromising quality. It’s part of our strategic sustainability goal to reduce the amount of fossil fuel-based materials in its products.
Mimo gives creatives the freedom to express tone, purpose and personality within a single design family.
